Waipahu Boxing Club
About
**Waipahu Boxing Club** is a legendary institution in Hawaii’s martial arts community, renowned for producing world-class champions and upstanding citizens. Located in the heart of **Waipahu**, this non-profit gym carries on the legacy of Hall of Fame coach Al "Quick" Silva under the guidance of **Head Coach Keoni Adric**—a former national team coach with experience at the U.S. Olympic Training Center. This is an "old school" boxing gym that prioritizes character over commercialism. The program is designed to keep youth off the streets and in the ring, teaching them that "champions are made" through hard work, discipline, and respect. Students ages **8 and up** learn the sweet science of boxing—including footwork, defense, and conditioning—in a safe, family-oriented environment where every member is expected to shake hands and show respect to one another. **Program Highlights:** * **Elite Coaching:** Train under Coach Keoni Adric, who has guided athletes to State, National, and International titles. * **Character Development:** A strong focus on building self-esteem, discipline, and productive work ethics in youth. * **Competitive Pathway:** Opportunities for amateur competition (USA Boxing) for those who want to test their skills. * **Community Focus:** A welcoming, affordable environment dedicated to serving the local families of West Oahu. **Location:** 94-230 Paiwa Street, Waipahu, HI 96797 *(Located at the Waipahu District Park)* **Hours:** Monday – Friday: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM **Contact:** (808) 375-8807 | waipahuboxing.com **Ages:** 8 years and up
