**The Aikido Ohana** is a family-oriented, 501(c)(3) non-profit dojo located in **Honolulu, Hawaii**, dedicated to teaching the peaceful martial art of Aikido. True to its name—*Ohana* is the Hawaiian word for family—the school fosters a supportive and inclusive environment where students of all backgrounds treat one another with respect and care. Under the guidance of **Chief Instructor Alan Nagahisa**, the youth program is designed specifically for children ages **6 to 12**. Classes focus on non-violent conflict resolution, helping young students develop confidence, discipline, and physical coordination without relying on aggression. By learning to control themselves rather than fighting others, children embody the dojo’s motto: "True Victory is Victory Over Oneself."
