**Kamaha'o Canoe Club** is a welcoming, non-profit outrigger canoe club located on the beautiful shores of **Ewa Beach** within the Kapilina Beach Homes community. True to their motto, *"The heart is the strongest muscle,"* the club focuses on building character, inclusivity, and a deep connection to Hawaiian culture through the sport of paddling. As a member of the **Hui Wa'a** racing association, Kamaha'o offers programs for both recreational and competitive paddlers. Their youth (Keiki) program is designed to teach safe ocean practices, paddling techniques, and teamwork while fostering new friendships. The club honors the history of the area, with a logo and mission rooted in the story of **Ka'ahupahau**, the guardian shark goddess of Pu'uloa (Pearl Harbor). **Program Highlights:** * **Keiki & Youth Paddling:** Seasonal programs available for young paddlers (exact ages and practice times vary by season; contact for current schedule). * **Inclusive Atmosphere:** "E Komo Mai" (Welcome) — You do not need to be a resident of Kapilina Beach Homes to join; the club welcomes members from all over. * **Cultural Focus:** Education on local history, 'aumakua (ancestral spirits), and respect for the ocean. * **Community:** A 501(c)(3) non-profit that actively participates in community service and cultural events. **Location:** 5100 Iroquois Point Rd, Ewa Beach, HI 96706 *(Located inside Kapilina Beach Homes. Visitors must enter through the guest lane at the guarded gate and request a day pass for the canoe club.)* **Note:** Youth practice schedules are often seasonal (Regatta season typically runs Spring–Summer).
