**Island Jiu Jitsu West** brings the renowned training of Island Jiu Jitsu to the Ewa Beach community. Led by **Coach Nicholas Alcoran**, a seasoned Black Belt under Professor Jason Vigil with over 11 years of experience and multiple competition wins, this academy is dedicated to teaching the authentic art of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. The youth program is designed to be inclusive and empowering for children as young as **3 years old**. Following the lineage of Helio Gracie, the curriculum emphasizes leverage and technique, proving that a smaller person can defend themselves against a larger opponent. This makes it an excellent choice for building confidence, discipline, and anti-bullying skills in a safe, family-oriented environment. **Youth Program Highlights:** * **Keiki Classes (Ages 3+):** Age-appropriate instruction that starts with the basics of movement and coordination, progressing to advanced self-defense and sport techniques. * **Gracie Lineage:** A focus on leverage-based techniques that are practical for self-defense, regardless of size or strength. * **Experienced Coaching:** Coach Nicholas has been mentoring kids and adults for over 6 years, ensuring high-quality instruction in both Gi and No-Gi grappling.
