About

The Honolulu Police Activities League (PAL) is a community-based organization dedicated to providing safe, positive, and enriching recreational outlets for Oahu’s youth ages 5 to 17. Established in 1948 by the Honolulu Police Department, the program offers a wide range of free sports leagues and activities, including basketball, volleyball, flag football, baseball, judo, and karate, as well as cultural and educational classes like cooking and literacy. Beyond athletics, Honolulu PAL focuses on mentorship and character development by connecting young people with police officers and community volunteers who serve as coaches and role models. This unique partnership aims to foster mutual respect, deter juvenile crime, and strengthen community bonds across Honolulu, ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn teamwork and sportsmanship in a supportive environment.
